Michael Ryan is reporting in The Daily Mail Windham Town Supervisor Stacy Post was arraigned on charges of felony eavesdropping before the Hon. Charles Tailleur (tie-ler) in Greene County Court, Tue., Mar. 10. She pleaded not guilty to all charges. During the same proceeding, Tailleur denied an application for a temporary order of protection filed by special prosecutor John Sandleitner to prohibit Post from intimidating town workers, including some who were called to testify before the grand jury. Sandleitner sought the order because, he said, Post was “terrorizing the people that work for [and with] her” at the municipal building. In denying the application, the judge said Sandleitner had failed to provide sufficient proof to support his claim. Tailleur also declined to set bail in the case, once again releasing the supervisor on her own recognizance. No trial date has been set. Post is charged with 30 felony counts of eavesdropping along with one count of official misconduct and a single count of possession of eavesdropping devices, both misdemeanors. She was arrested January 12 following a 10-month state police investigation. Post served as the Windham police chief for five years before becoming supervisor in January 2013.
