NYSCA Regrant Programs
Arts in Corrections NYS
Wave Farm is pleased to announce Arts in Corrections NYS, a regrant program with the New York State Council on the Arts in 2023 and 2024. Arts in Corrections NYS facilitates and supports arts programming inside approximately 10 NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (NYS DOCCS) and participating Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) facilities across New York State. In partnership with visiting artists, non-profit organizations design and facilitate a series of 12-week, in-person workshops, providing system-impacted individuals with once-a-week programming in a variety of disciplines including the visual arts, electronic media/film, music, and literature. Each workshop series culminates in a celebratory event inside the facility granting participants the opportunity to share their work. Additionally, with permissions secured, there will be opportunities to share work externally through an Arts in Corrections NYS website and or exhibition/public program.
- Eligible Applicants: New York State Non-Profit Arts Organizations
- Application Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
- Grant Amount: $8,000 for each 12-week workshop series
- Successful grantees have the opportunity to renew for subsequent series.
- When and where openings for new programs occur, applicants with pending proposals will be contacted and given the opportunity to update their proposals prior to review.
