With the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, this is another long weekend on the local slopes. Windham Mountain has 33 groomed trails, with seven lifts, over 6-48" of snow, and is open until 8 p.m. through Sunday night. For MLK weekend they are hosting a U2 cover band called Joshua Tree with DJ Brian, Johnny Moon and Starz, and others, with fireworks Sat., Jan. 18 at 6 p.m. Not to be outdone, Hunter Mountain has a laser light show, but a Bon Jovi cover band. They also have 14-62" of snow on 43 trails and seven lifts running. Catamount Ski in Hillsdale has 27 of 34 trails open, with four of six lifts running over 12-30" of snow.
