Parking plan begins, snow emergency declared

The Catskill Police Department is reporting on its Facebook page the parking plan for snow removal in the village of Catskill begins 8 p.m., Sun., Feb. 8. All vehicles should be parked on the odd side of the street from 8 p.m., Sunday until 8 a.m., Monday. Vehicles should then be parked on the even side of village streets from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday. Vehicles should continue to switch sides of the street every 12 hours, until the snow emergency has been canceled. Parking enforcement will remain in effect until all snow is removed from village streets. Also Effective Sun., Feb. 8, from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. parking is not permitted on Main Street from Greene Street to Summit Avenue each evening to ensure that Main Street is one of the first streets to be cleared of snow. Residents who usually park on Main Street should utilize the municipal parking lots. Any offending vehicle will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. Mayor William H. Hallenbeck Jr. has declared a snow emergency in the city of Hudson, effective 8 p.m., Sun., Feb. 8. Beginning at 8 p.m., Sunday, all cars must be parked on the odd side of the street. Parking is prohibited on the odd side of the street for 24 hours. Beginning 8 p.m., Mon., Feb. 9, all vehicles must be moved to the even side of the street and remain there for 16 hours, until 12 p.m. (noon), Tue., Feb. 10, when the snow emergency ends. Snow removal will take place from 12 a.m. (midnight), Wed., Feb. 11 and into early morning, Fri., Feb. 13. Residents are to follow posted snow removal signage.
