Ten years ago, at 2 p.m. on February 26, 2011, with mere minutes to spare, WGXC powered on, transmitting 3,300 watts out to the Upper Hudson Valley on 90.7-FM. A large boisterous group assembled at the Catskill Community Center to celebrate. There, WGXC's first programmers took to the mic to introduce their shows and perform live on-air as part of the first ever WGXC broadcast. Join us ten years later for a very special ceremonious broadcast in honor of this official 10th Anniversary day.

For the past 7 years, 24-HOUR DRONE presented with Le Guess Who? has kicked Basilica Hudson’s season into bloom as a sacred wake-up call for the building in her winter hibernation. With all large gatherings still on hold due to COVID-19, this year we will bring DRONE to the airwaves in collaboration with Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM Radio for Open Ears.
Both organizations, Basilica and Wave Farm, will each invite five sound artists to contribute a 60-minute performance. Assembled, this newly commissioned 10-hour drone program will be the featured content for DRONE AT HOME 2021. Highlights from past 24-HOUR DRONE event archives will flesh out the rest of the 24-hour online broadcast.

Wave Farm's sixth annual Audio Buffet and WGXC Programmer Picnic will take place on Saturday August 7, 2021. In 2015, Pauline Oliveros and IONE donated the 32-channel mixing board they once traveled the world with to Wave Farm. Their generous and meaningful donation serves as the fulcrum for the Audio Buffet event, where dozens of acoustic and electronic sound artists come together for a live collaborative and improvisational radio performance on Wave Farm's WGXC 90.7-FM from 2 - 4 p.m. The broadcast is followed by a WGXC Programmer Picnic.

October 23, 2021: John Cage’s Rozart Mix, realized by artist Aaron Dilloway
The John Cage Trust 1309 Annandale Road Red Hook, NY 12571
Newly realized by former Wave Farm Residency Artist Aaron Dilloway, the installation at the John Cage Trust will be an expansive, multi-level, visual, and sonic work, with collaborating tape players including Rosie Actor-Engel, Twig Harper, C. Lavender, Quintron, Robert Turman, and John Wiese. In keeping with Cage's score, a minimum of 88 tape loops will be employed. The tape loops will be made to run on 12 reel-to-reel decks positioned in various rooms and floors of the John Cage Trust building, winding up stairs and around furniture. Visitors will be immersed in a kinetic and audible drawing. As was the case in the first performance of Rozart Mix in 1965 at Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, the content on the tape loops will include field recordings as well as voices; however, in this new iteration the sound materials will be sourced from the over 100 volunteer programmers who contribute programming on Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM. 26th Catskills Irish Arts Week (July 12 - July 18 2021) a week-long celebration of Irish America in music, song, dance, art, poetry, hospitality and story, in historically Irish village of East Durham, NY in a variety of locations. Workshops by Master Teachers from Ireland, the USA, and Canada who dedicate themselves to handing down the skills and nuances of the Irish Tradition. Concerts Monday-Friday at the MJQ Irish Culture and Sports Centre from 7-9 PM. A World-Class feast of performances open to everybody, and included in the student package. Ceilis Monday-Friday. Nightly Sessions in the local pubs every night where the music and banter meet, giving you the experience of a real Irish session.

Ahead of their jam-packed weekender event at nearby Glen Falls House, The Funky Seshwa is excited to kick off the weekend with a special pre-party that's gonna be way hotter than a warmup! This night will feature Brooklyn powerhouse afro-disco band, Underground System for the band's first performance in New York since the pandemic hit. This band's vibe is like if Fela Kuti had a baby with The Talking Heads & LCD Soundsystem... DJ support by Razor-N-Tape label boss, JKriv, known for his tenure as bassist for Tortured Soul and Escort, as well as his disco/afro edits and banging original music + Funky Seshwa residents, Willy Soul & Disgonuts. The Funky Seshwa is a Psychedelic Funky Dance Party exposing patrons to all flavors of dance music from around the world. As residents at Brooklyn club, Good Room, they will bring their signature style and program to the Glen Fall's House for a special 3 day Weekender festival.

Ben Seretan is a musician and writer from Troy, New York who is working hard. In 2018, he released a 24 hour long album of guitar clouds called My Life's Work. In 2020 came Youth Pastoral, a lightly dance music influenced collection of cathartic full band jammers about breaking up with God (named one of the best albums of the year by Pitchfork). This year - emerging from the Internet as if a 17-year burrow in the woods - Seretan whipped up Cicada Waves, a set of piano recordings from the riotous and cacophonous woods of north Georgia where, more often than not, the piano isn't played. The Rough Shapes play a unique mix of surf, soundtrack-inspired instrumentals, and atmospheric post-rock. Local legend DJ Brian Goss plays downtown new wave, no wave, dance punk, and indie. An instrumental trio based in New York’s hopping mid-Hudson Valley, The Rough Shapes command the great traditions of underground electric guitar music - the darker side of rockabilly, surf, spy, early rock and roll, and the cinematic mood music of Morricone. But don’t mistake this band for reverent and referential, much less dogmatically retro. The Rough Shapes’ music plays every bit as much like a work of ambient post-rock and nightmare-leaning instrumental dream pop, by turns haunted and mysteriously sweet. This is high-character and stylish modern music in which the ghosts of the old world wander freely. After years of recording and touring with hardcore, punk rock and noise bands, Brian Goss started DJing under the moniker Blowtorch around Manhattan’s East Village. Spinning a variety of Punk, New Wave and Goth, he set the mood at the notorious Lit Lounge and 2A. Most recently in 2018, Little Steven Van Zandt recruited Brian to be his personal DJ for public appearances.

Both organizations, Basilica and Wave Farm, will each invite five sound artists to contribute a 60-minute performance. Assembled, this newly commissioned 10-hour drone program will be the featured content for DRONE AT HOME 2021. In 2015, Pauline Oliveros and IONE donated the 32-channel mixing board they once traveled the world with to Wave Farm. Their generous and meaningful donation serves as the fulcrum for the Audio Buffet event, where dozens of acoustic and electronic sound artists come together for a live collaborative and improvisational radio performance on Wave Farm's WGXC 90.7-FM from 2 - 4 p.m. The broadcast is followed by a WGXC Programmer Picnic.

The John Cage Trust 1309 Annandale Road Red Hook, NY 12571
Newly realized by former Wave Farm Residency Artist Aaron Dilloway, the installation at the John Cage Trust will be an expansive, multi-level, visual, and sonic work, with collaborating tape players including Rosie Actor-Engel, Twig Harper, C. Lavender, Quintron, Robert Turman, and John Wiese. In keeping with Cage's score, a minimum of 88 tape loops will be employed. The tape loops will be made to run on 12 reel-to-reel decks positioned in various rooms and floors of the John Cage Trust building, winding up stairs and around furniture. Visitors will be immersed in a kinetic and audible drawing. As was the case in the first performance of Rozart Mix in 1965 at Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, the content on the tape loops will include field recordings as well as voices; however, in this new iteration the sound materials will be sourced from the over 100 volunteer programmers who contribute programming on Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM. Wave Farm's sixth annual Audio Buffet and WGXC Programmer Picnic will take place on Saturday August 7, 2021. In 2015, Pauline Oliveros and IONE donated the 32-channel mixing board they once traveled the world with to Wave Farm. Their generous and meaningful donation serves as the fulcrum for the Audio Buffet event, where dozens of acoustic and electronic sound artists come together for a live collaborative and improvisational radio performance on Wave Farm's WGXC 90.7-FM from 2 - 4 p.m. The broadcast is followed by a WGXC Programmer Picnic.

October 23, 2021: John Cage’s Rozart Mix, realized by artist Aaron Dilloway
The John Cage Trust 1309 Annandale Road Red Hook, NY 12571
Newly realized by former Wave Farm Residency Artist Aaron Dilloway, the installation at the John Cage Trust will be an expansive, multi-level, visual, and sonic work, with collaborating tape players including Rosie Actor-Engel, Twig Harper, C. Lavender, Quintron, Robert Turman, and John Wiese. In keeping with Cage's score, a minimum of 88 tape loops will be employed. The tape loops will be made to run on 12 reel-to-reel decks positioned in various rooms and floors of the John Cage Trust building, winding up stairs and around furniture. Visitors will be immersed in a kinetic and audible drawing. As was the case in the first performance of Rozart Mix in 1965 at Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, the content on the tape loops will include field recordings as well as voices; however, in this new iteration the sound materials will be sourced from the over 100 volunteer programmers who contribute programming on Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM. Both organizations, Basilica and Wave Farm, will each invite five sound artists to contribute a 60-minute performance. Assembled, this newly commissioned 10-hour drone program will be the featured content for DRONE AT HOME 2021. Highlights from past 24-HOUR DRONE event archives will flesh out the rest of the 24-hour online broadcast.

Blending a sassy, electronic sound with potent mystical wisdom, this interactive show turns hearts into compasses and the dance floor into the terrain. The Greene County Youth Fair celebrates the accomplishments of area youth who will keep our agricultural legacy alive for years to come with agricultural exhibits, artistic performances, food, rides, and more.

If you were dancing away the existential angst of your strange extraterrestrial future in a dark, smoky club orbiting Titan, AmeliaMoon would be playing. If you were being chased by space vampires through carbon dioxide snow on some nameless frozen world far from Earth, AmeliaMoon would be the soundtrack of your last moments. Based in Kingston, NY, AmeliaMoon began recording and performing experimental noise music in 2013, before wedding their love of deep sonic textures and bleakly alien future-industrial soundscapes with the driving dance beats and emotional directness of eighties postpunk and new wave. Their most recent album, How It Ends, tells a very human story of love and alienation in a world that churns on and on with no regard for those caught in its gears.

Jandreau is an electro-industrial project created by Robbie Jandreau in 2008. He has been actively releasing albums since 2015. With themes touching on mental health, the occult and mythology; Jandreau produces a harsh and dark sound with heavy beats and lush synths. His most recent release “Atë” is a collection of instrumental tracks that focus on a fall from grace. Jandreau is actively looking to collaborate with lyricists and vocalists to complete the “Atë”project with a follow up album “Nemesis”. His full discography can be found on bandcamp. A large boisterous group assembled at the Catskill Community Center to celebrate. There, WGXC's first programmers took to the mic to introduce their shows and perform live on-air as part of the first ever WGXC broadcast. For the past 7 years, 24-HOUR DRONE presented with Le Guess Who? has kicked Basilica Hudson’s season into bloom as a sacred wake-up call for the building in her winter hibernation. With all large gatherings still on hold due to COVID-19, this year we will bring DRONE to the airwaves in collaboration with Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM Radio for Open Ears.
Both organizations, Basilica and Wave Farm, will each invite five sound artists to contribute a 60-minute performance. Assembled, this newly commissioned 10-hour drone program will be the featured content for DRONE AT HOME 2021. Highlights from past 24-HOUR DRONE event archives will flesh out the rest of the 24-hour online broadcast.

Wave Farm's sixth annual Audio Buffet and WGXC Programmer Picnic will take place on Saturday August 7, 2021. In 2015, Pauline Oliveros and IONE donated the 32-channel mixing board they once traveled the world with to Wave Farm. Their generous and meaningful donation serves as the fulcrum for the Audio Buffet event, where dozens of acoustic and electronic sound artists come together for a live collaborative and improvisational radio performance on Wave Farm's WGXC 90.7-FM from 2 - 4 p.m. The broadcast is followed by a WGXC Programmer Picnic.

October 23, 2021: John Cage’s Rozart Mix, realized by artist Aaron Dilloway
The John Cage Trust 1309 Annandale Road Red Hook, NY 12571
Newly realized by former Wave Farm Residency Artist Aaron Dilloway, the installation at the John Cage Trust will be an expansive, multi-level, visual, and sonic work, with collaborating tape players including Rosie Actor-Engel, Twig Harper, C. Lavender, Quintron, Robert Turman, and John Wiese. In keeping with Cage's score, a minimum of 88 tape loops will be employed. The tape loops will be made to run on 12 reel-to-reel decks positioned in various rooms and floors of the John Cage Trust building, winding up stairs and around furniture. Visitors will be immersed in a kinetic and audible drawing. As was the case in the first performance of Rozart Mix in 1965 at Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, the content on the tape loops will include field recordings as well as voices; however, in this new iteration the sound materials will be sourced from the over 100 volunteer programmers who contribute programming on Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM. Wave Farm's sixth annual Audio Buffet and WGXC Programmer Picnic will take place on Saturday August 7, 2021. In 2015, Pauline Oliveros and IONE donated the 32-channel mixing board they once traveled the world with to Wave Farm. Their generous and meaningful donation serves as the fulcrum for the Audio Buffet event, where dozens of acoustic and electronic sound artists come together for a live collaborative and improvisational radio performance on Wave Farm's WGXC 90.7-FM from 2 - 4 p.m. The broadcast is followed by a WGXC Programmer Picnic.

October 23, 2021: John Cage’s Rozart Mix, realized by artist Aaron Dilloway
The John Cage Trust 1309 Annandale Road Red Hook, NY 12571
Newly realized by former Wave Farm Residency Artist Aaron Dilloway, the installation at the John Cage Trust will be an expansive, multi-level, visual, and sonic work, with collaborating tape players including Rosie Actor-Engel, Twig Harper, C. Lavender, Quintron, Robert Turman, and John Wiese. In keeping with Cage's score, a minimum of 88 tape loops will be employed. The tape loops will be made to run on 12 reel-to-reel decks positioned in various rooms and floors of the John Cage Trust building, winding up stairs and around furniture. Visitors will be immersed in a kinetic and audible drawing. As was the case in the first performance of Rozart Mix in 1965 at Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, the content on the tape loops will include field recordings as well as voices; however, in this new iteration the sound materials will be sourced from the over 100 volunteer programmers who contribute programming on Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM. With all large gatherings still on hold due to COVID-19, this year we will bring DRONE to the airwaves in collaboration with Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM Radio for Open Ears.
Both organizations, Basilica and Wave Farm, will each invite five sound artists to contribute a 60-minute performance. Assembled, this newly commissioned 10-hour drone program will be the featured content for DRONE AT HOME 2021. Highlights from past 24-HOUR DRONE event archives will flesh out the rest of the 24-hour online broadcast.

"Summer of Soul" is part music film, part historical record created around an epic event that celebrated Black history, culture and fashion. Over the course of six weeks in the summer of 1969, just one hundred miles south of Woodstock, The Harlem Cultural Festival was filmed in Mount Morris Park (now Marcus Garvey Park). The footage was never seen and largely forgotten-until now. The feature includes never-before-seen concert performances by Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Sly and the Family Stone, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Mahalia Jackson, B.B. King, The 5th Dimension, and more.

The John Cage Trust 1309 Annandale Road Red Hook, NY 12571
Newly realized by former Wave Farm Residency Artist Aaron Dilloway, the installation at the John Cage Trust will be an expansive, multi-level, visual, and sonic work, with collaborating tape players including Rosie Actor-Engel, Twig Harper, C. Lavender, Quintron, Robert Turman, and John Wiese. In keeping with Cage's score, a minimum of 88 tape loops will be employed. The tape loops will be made to run on 12 reel-to-reel decks positioned in various rooms and floors of the John Cage Trust building, winding up stairs and around furniture. Visitors will be immersed in a kinetic and audible drawing. As was the case in the first performance of Rozart Mix in 1965 at Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, the content on the tape loops will include field recordings as well as voices; however, in this new iteration the sound materials will be sourced from the over 100 volunteer programmers who contribute programming on Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM. Wave Farm's sixth annual Audio Buffet and WGXC Programmer Picnic will take place on Saturday August 7, 2021. In 2015, Pauline Oliveros and IONE donated the 32-channel mixing board they once traveled the world with to Wave Farm. Their generous and meaningful donation serves as the fulcrum for the Audio Buffet event, where dozens of acoustic and electronic sound artists come together for a live collaborative and improvisational radio performance on Wave Farm's WGXC 90.7-FM from 2 - 4 p.m. The broadcast is followed by a WGXC Programmer Picnic.

October 23, 2021: John Cage’s Rozart Mix, realized by artist Aaron Dilloway
The John Cage Trust 1309 Annandale Road Red Hook, NY 12571
Newly realized by former Wave Farm Residency Artist Aaron Dilloway, the installation at the John Cage Trust will be an expansive, multi-level, visual, and sonic work, with collaborating tape players including Rosie Actor-Engel, Twig Harper, C. Lavender, Quintron, Robert Turman, and John Wiese. In keeping with Cage's score, a minimum of 88 tape loops will be employed. The tape loops will be made to run on 12 reel-to-reel decks positioned in various rooms and floors of the John Cage Trust building, winding up stairs and around furniture. Visitors will be immersed in a kinetic and audible drawing. As was the case in the first performance of Rozart Mix in 1965 at Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, the content on the tape loops will include field recordings as well as voices; however, in this new iteration the sound materials will be sourced from the over 100 volunteer programmers who contribute programming on Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM. For the past 7 years, 24-HOUR DRONE presented with Le Guess Who? has kicked Basilica Hudson’s season into bloom as a sacred wake-up call for the building in her winter hibernation. With all large gatherings still on hold due to COVID-19, this year we will bring DRONE to the airwaves in collaboration with Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM Radio for Open Ears.
Both organizations, Basilica and Wave Farm, will each invite five sound artists to contribute a 60-minute performance. Assembled, this newly commissioned 10-hour drone program will be the featured content for DRONE AT HOME 2021. Highlights from past 24-HOUR DRONE event archives will flesh out the rest of the 24-hour online broadcast.

A singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who excels at the harp, Mikaela Davis navigates folk, rock, and chamber pop on her textured pop songs. She emerged in the early 2010s with a handful of harp-accompanied solo covers of indie singer/songwriters, including one of Elliott Smith's "Twilight" that quickly garnered tens of thousands of views. The John Cage Trust 1309 Annandale Road Red Hook, NY 12571
Newly realized by former Wave Farm Residency Artist Aaron Dilloway, the installation at the John Cage Trust will be an expansive, multi-level, visual, and sonic work, with collaborating tape players including Rosie Actor-Engel, Twig Harper, C. Lavender, Quintron, Robert Turman, and John Wiese. In keeping with Cage's score, a minimum of 88 tape loops will be employed. The tape loops will be made to run on 12 reel-to-reel decks positioned in various rooms and floors of the John Cage Trust building, winding up stairs and around furniture. Visitors will be immersed in a kinetic and audible drawing. For the past 7 years, 24-HOUR DRONE presented with Le Guess Who? has kicked Basilica Hudson’s season into bloom as a sacred wake-up call for the building in her winter hibernation. With all large gatherings still on hold due to COVID-19, this year we will bring DRONE to the airwaves in collaboration with Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM Radio for Open Ears.
Both organizations, Basilica and Wave Farm, will each invite five sound artists to contribute a 60-minute performance. Assembled, this newly commissioned 10-hour drone program will be the featured content for DRONE AT HOME 2021. Highlights from past 24-HOUR DRONE event archives will flesh out the rest of the 24-hour online broadcast.

Let's celebrate WGXC's 10th Anniversary together at the Greenville Drive-in! We're planning this event to scale as needed in terms of where we are with physical gathering. Either way, we think it will be an epic exploration of the number 10! Wear your most festive attire and bring your favorite radio for the LoveShack photo and recording booth. Most importantly come ready to celebrate.

• 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.: Get Your Concessions! (Cocktails at the bar, Snack Bar goodies available.)

1. LunarMoss (formerly of LunarMoss), a micro-meditation on time's most agreeable measurement: the decade; conveyed thru sound as catalyst and contingent summation of collective memory.
2. Jess Speer, Jess Speer will perform live with 10 sound sources, all celebrating WGXC, Wave Farm, and radio, with a special community-brewed Radio Witch full moon spell for the continued success of WGXC.

August 7, 2021, Audio Buffet 2021 and Programmer Picnic

Wave Farm's sixth annual Audio Buffet and WGXC Programmer Picnic will take place on Saturday August 7, 2021. In 2015, Pauline Oliveros and IONE donated the 32-channel mixing board they once traveled the world with to Wave Farm. Their generous and meaningful donation serves as the fulcrum for the Audio Buffet event, where dozens of acoustic and electronic sound artists come together for a live collaborative and improvisational radio performance on Wave Farm's WGXC 90.7-FM from 2 - 4 p.m. The broadcast is followed by a WGXC Programmer Picnic.

October 23, 2021: John Cage’s Rozart Mix, realized by artist Aaron Dilloway
The John Cage Trust 1309 Annandale Road Red Hook, NY 12571
Newly realized by former Wave Farm Residency Artist Aaron Dilloway, the installation at the John Cage Trust will be an expansive, multi-level, visual, and sonic work, with collaborating tape players including Rosie Actor-Engel, Twig Harper, C. Lavender, Quintron, Robert Turman, and John Wiese. In keeping with Cage's score, a minimum of 88 tape loops will be employed. The tape loops will be made to run on 12 reel-to-reel decks positioned in various rooms and floors of the John Cage Trust building, winding up stairs and around furniture. Visitors will be immersed in a kinetic and audible drawing. As was the case in the first performance of Rozart Mix in 1965 at Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, the content on the tape loops will include field recordings as well as voices; however, in this new iteration the sound materials will be sourced from the over 100 volunteer programmers who contribute programming on Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM. This event serves as a culminating celebration of WGXC's 10th Anniversary year. More information at wavefarm.org/rozartmix.
