Jan 08, 2013 7:40 am
Ariel Zangla reports in the Daily Freeman the Greene County Legislature's Public Safety Committee Mon., Jan. 7, endorsed a proposed three-year contract with the union that represents the county’s 24 sheriff’s road patrol deputies. The contract is retroactive to Jan. 1, 2011. The proposal provides no raise in the first two years of the contract, but a 1.5 percent pay raise in 2013. County Administrator Shaun Groden said the contract is similar to those made with other employee unions. He said the proposal has already been ratified by the deputies’ union. The agreement must be approved by the full Legislature. Read the full story in the Daily Freeman.
