Liv Carrow of Hudson, NY has been telling fortunes, fermenting vegetables and singing and writing songs, since 2005. After a three-year stint in the NYC "antifolk" scene,, now plays more speedier fingerstyle riffs, cloudier poetry, more bass in the thumb, and explores the shadowy and mountainous terrain of Appalachian melody, crafting lullabies and love songs that invoke American roots music, the British folk revival of the 60s, pop crooners like Nilsson and Fred Neil, with a sprinkling of 90s alt indie earnestness.
