Speenburgh explains resolution against SAFE Act
Feb 24, 2013 12:02 am
Greene County Legislator Chairman Wayne Speenburgh stopped by the "WGXC Afternoon Show" Fri., Feb. 22, to discuss the legislature's recent actions against recently enacted gun control legislation. On Wed., Feb. 20, the Greene County Legislature adopted a resolution in opposition to the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act. On Friday, Speenburgh (R-Coxsackie) complained most vigorously about how the legislature passed the resolution quickly late one night, with little public input. Catskill Legislator Vincent Seeley, was the lone dissenter, saying it was not optimal how the state law was passed, but he said it was done so legally. The interview with Speenburgh will be replayed at 6 a.m., Sun., Feb. 24. Click here to listen to the full interview with Speenburgh by host Noah Reibel on the "WGXC Afternoon Show."
