Dwight Grimm and Leigh Van Swall hope to sell local food and drinks and sometimes show local movies at the drive in that first opened in 1959. The couple has installated a digital projector and our fundraising for the rest of the costs to re-open. Van Swall said, “I think if we were to open a drive-in anywhere else in the country it would not be in a community that is so connected and in love with their drive-in.” They still need to install a new FM transmitter, for listening to the films on your car radio, fix some other parts of the theater. When open, the drive-in won't show first-run movies, but older films. For more information and updates, visit www.drivein32.com or www.facebook.com/drivein32.
