'Breathing Lights' project to light up Albany, Schenectady, Troy

Photo from Wikipedia.[/caption]"Breathing Lights," the Capitol Region's submission for the Bloomberg Philanthropies Public Art Challenge, was one of four projects in the U.S. announced to receive a grant of $1 million. The grant goes to put lights in windows in Albany, Schenectady, and Troy next year. Artist Adam Frelin and architect Barbara Nelson will illuminate the street-facing windows of hundreds of vacant buildings in the three cities in Oct. 2016 with the grant. "Warm light will fill each window with a diffuse glow that pulses with the gentle rhythm of human breathing.
