In local radio news, Wave Farm's 2014 Residency Program begins this week, with Steve Bull, and later in the month, Bob Bellerue and Wanda Gala. Bull we be a guest on the "Saturday Afternoon Show" Sat., June 7, and showcase his "Cellphonia" project on the "Saturday Afternoon Show" June 14.
WGXC's June $10K Mini-Marathon Pledge Drive has begin, and we are asking listeners to call 518-697-7400 to pledge to help keep the station on the air. Your support of this uniquely creative, community radio station will help keep us on the air, and is enormously appreciated.
Also noteworthy this month, Wave Farm's summer intern Kira deCoudres arrives from Hampshire College, where she is currently studying the intersections of music, cognitive science, and philosophy with a desire to understand why sound is an important part of the human experience. She will also be on the "Saturday Afternoon Show" June 7, between 4 and 6 p.m.
