WGXC's Sara Kendall speaks with Rick Stengel, managing editor of Time, where he oversees the domestic, international, and tablet editions of Time Magazine, Time.com, and Time for kids. Stengel has written a number of books, including a collaboration with Nelson Mandela on Mandela's 1993 autobiography, Long Walk to Freedom. Stengel has worked as the President and chief executive officer of the National Constitution Center, and as senior advisor and chief speechwriter for presidential candidate Bill Bradley. Stengel has written for a number of publications including The New Yorker, The New Republic and the New York Times, and taught a course at Princeton called "Politics and the Press". A resident of Columbia County, Stengel will join us at WGXC to discuss his work, and some of the current questions and challenges facing journalists and editors.
