We have extended our pledge drive through April 6. Join us today to consider: who is your media? Where does the framework for your understanding of your world come from?
WGXC believes that another model of media is possible. We believe that “Hands-On Radio” is more than a catch-phrase, that media can and should be created by and for the people. It can be a dialogue, a living discourse between listener and creator. Media is not static. It should be complex and challenging, experimental and creative. We believe that media is at its most vital when it is participatory and open.
WGXC strives daily to embody the idea of listener-supported radio by providing a forum where its listeners can be creators and owners of their media. But this forum will only continue to exist if we can meet our operating expenses. We are supported daily by you as volunteers, as programmers, and as listeners. But during our Pledge Drive, we also need your financial support. The time to give is now.
