Proceeds benefit WGXC and the Cairo Library, with this second annual talent show at the Cairo Elementary School. Once again, Greene County Legislator and former Cairo High School science teacher William Lawrence will be Master of Ceremonies, and all ages will perform. Performances will be broadcast live on 90.7-FM and at wgxc.org online. Three categories compete: Child, teen, adult. Mike Ryan will also perform, and there will be other surprises. Lots of information about the new Cairo Library that will be built soon (with help from this fundraiser) and the new community radio station WGXC. General admission $5; children under 2 free.

NOTE: Cairo Talent Show is still on, live at 6 p.m., no weather delays, or postponement.

The Cairo Library is attempting to move out of Cairo Town Hall and into a larger, more modern facility behind its current space. A public presentation of the new library project will be held at the Cairo Town Hall and open to the public on March 17, 2010 at 6 p.m. before the regular Cairo Town Board Meeting.

Our inclusive programming connects diverse voices, and distributes information across the public spectrum in New York's Greene and Columbia counties. There will be studios in Cairo, Catskill, and Hudson.
