Joel Tyner discusses issues ahead of primary

Joel Tyner, Democrat candidate for New York's 19th Congressional District sat down at the Catskill Community Center Wed., June 20 with WGXC's Ron Diamondstein. They discussed high-impact hydraulic fracturing, reform, and more, in a half-hour discussion. Tyner, currently a five-term Dutchess County legislator, is running in a Democrat primary race Tue., June 26 against Julian Schreibman for a district seat that Chris Gibson (R-Kinderhook) currently represents. The demographics in the new district is slightly more Democratic than the 20th District that Gibson won from Democrat Scott Murphy during the Republican landslide of 2010. Tyner has lived in Dutchess County 42 years, from Rhinebeck High School, and SUNY New Paltz. He is also a teacher and counselor. Click here to hear the entire interview with Joel Tyner. 27:54
