• PAPER FOR SALE The Albany Business Review reports the owners of the weekly Albany-area newspaper and website "Metroland," have put the media company up for sale, as the owners want to retire. "Metroland" began in 1978 as a monthly entertainment guide, and became a weekly alternative newspaper in 1986.

• RADIO CHANGES WGXC has all sorts of changes to its program schedule, including several new shows. First there is a new show in the youth slot, 3:30-4 p.m., as “Game Hoarders” airs Thursdays with hosts Dominic Domkoski, Jake Ganey, and Calvin Ruiz. “Eclectimaniac” is another new show, airing on the second Wednesday of each month from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Holly Tanner and Justin Weaver host a public affairs show about Columbia County, “Something to Talk About,” on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The “Albany Report” will now air on the second and fourth Mondays at 10 a.m., alternating with “Law and Disorder;” “Arts Express Radio” will air on the third, fourth, and fifth Thursdays at 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.; while “We the People” is on hiatus (host Tom DiPietro is running for Hudson Common Council president), “The Michael Slate Show” will fill in on the first, third, and fifth Thursdays of the month from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sam Sebren, who hosts the quarterly “Nothing is Real Radio Hour,” now hosts “Everything Is Real Radio” on the second Sunday of the month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.; James White hosts the “Music Maestro Hour” on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 11 a.m. to noon; and Tanya Blue hosts the “Classic Country Show” on the fifth Tuesday of the month from 11 a.m. to noon.
