The National Journal's annual Congressional rankings place Kinderhook Republican Chris Gibson as the most liberal Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Gibson's New York 20th District includes Greene and Columbia counties. The former military officer Gibson scored most liberal in foreign policy, and is ranked more liberal then ten Democrats.
