Apr 18, 2013 6:41 am
Ariel Zangla reports in the Daily Freeman the full Greene County Legislature adopted a resolution Wed., Apr. 17, calling on the state to allocate 911 surcharge funds to counties to support emergency and public safety communications. Lawmakers are calling on the state to allocate more of the funds back to counties through a grant program. Greene County already imposes a 30-cent local surcharge on cellular phones.
