Wave Farm announces 2016 resident artists

Wave Farm announced Tue., Apr. 5, the 10 artists and projects selected for the 2016 Wave Farm Residency Program. Each artist will live and work for 10 days on site at the Wave Farm Study Center in Acra. The residency season spans May through October, and provides artists with the opportunity to concentrate on new transmission works and conduct research about the genre. Resident artists perform, are interviewed on-air and create playlists for broadcast on WGXC 90.7-FM. In a statement released Tuesday, Wave Farm Executive Director Galen Joseph-Hunter said the 2016 residents were chosen from a pool of applications received from artists in nine countries and 13 states.
