Conversations with Kristin Thomson from the "Future of Music Coalition;" Jon Raymond, author of "Rain Dragon"; authors from the Writers OMI International Writers Residency Nadia Davids and Ayobami Adebayo; and The F & G Band. Kristin Thomson, Consultant for Future of Music Coalition and author of the report “Does Radio Airplay Matter?” At 4:40, acclaimed author Jon Raymond will also join us via phone for a conversation about his recently released book Rain Dragon, about a young couple, Damon and Amy, who are fed up with Los Angeles and find work on an organic farm called Rain Dragon. Jon Raymond has also written several films, which were directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Kelly Reichardt (Old Joy, Wendy and Lucy, and Meek’s Cutoff).
In the 5pm hour, we will be joined in the studio by two outstanding writers, Nadia Davids from South Africa and Ayobami Adebayo from Nigeria, who are currently doing the Writers OMI International Writers Residency at Ledig House in Ghent. At 5:45pm, The F & G Band, fronted by the multi-talented Sandra Taylor, daughter of the Legendary Sam "Bluzman" Taylor, will join us on the show. Hosted by Melinda Braathen, Noah Reibel, and Sara Kendall.
