Tannersville gets $1.4M for water system

Max Oppen is reporting in The Daily Mail the village of Tannersville has received more than $1.4 million to overhaul its water system. According to the state Department of Health there are a variety of problems that require remediation, including an out-of-date filtration plan in need of replacement. Officials report high arsenic levels in the village park well, problematic waters meters, aging water mains and other problems. The village will next obtain a preliminary engineering report, which involves setting the scope of the project and includes costs, user rates and permits. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
