10 a.m.: "Boblo Island Redux"
A half hour collage of scenes and sounds from theatre project currently in development at The Theatre Center in Toronto Canada. The project centers around Boblo Island a piece of land in the Detriot river with an incredible history, now virtually abandoned and the future sight of an elite gated community the island was once the last stop on the underground railroad, used for rum running during prohibition, and for decades was the home of a large amusement park that now lies in ruins. Through the magic of radio waves Boblo Island Redux explores parts of this history and the traces of memory they leave behind. Boblo Island Redux was produced by Andrew O'Connor, text by Erin Brandenburg, performed by Erin Brandenburg and Gordon Bolan, music by Andrew Penner, Gordon Bolan, and Detroit Time Machine.

4 p.m.: "WGXC Saturday Afternoon Show: Jeff Kolar"
AIRtime visiting artist Jeff Kolar hosts live from Wave Farm in Acra. Based in Chicago, IL, Kolar's work includes cross-platform collaboration, low-powered radio, and live performance. Jeff is also the administrator of Radius, an experimental radio broadcast platform, who presents a monthly radio program for free103point9 Online Radio and WGXC 90.7-FM. Write's Kolar: "My recent work investigates technology-specific topics including computer system alerts, hardware hacking, and the AM/FM/unlicensed spectrum. It is my intention to explore the overlaps between analog and digital audio systems. Using remix and live phonographic techniques, my work openly accepts transmission accidents, circuit feedback, and physical interferences."
