Windham Mountain's first full day of skiing and riding is Fri., Nov. 30, and they should be open all weekend with seven trails with an 8"-24" base. Hunter Mountain also opens Fri., Nov. 30 at 9 a.m., but just for season passholders. Skiing and snowboarding open to the public Sat., Dec. 1 at the Hellgate, 7th Ave., Kennedy Drive and Fifth Avenue routes, with 6"-48" of snow, serviced by the Kaatskill Flyer six-passenger chairlift and D-Lift. "Skiing and riding will be for advanced or better ability levels only until we begin to spread out to cover more terrain," Hunter Mountain's website reports.
