Another Valatie resident goes missing

"][/caption]What's with all the people going missing from the center of Columbia County? The Register Star reports this morning that the day after a missing Valatie man turned up, another Valatie resident has apparently gone missing, this one a 16-year-old boy. According to reporter Andrew Amelinckx, Tom Unser, also known as Tom Lussier, went missing Monday morning, according to his parents who are asking for the public’s help in finding the young man. who is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 125 pounds with long, dirty blonde hair, blue eyes and a pierced left ear. He was last seen wearing a black element jacket and blue jeans with black and gray skater sneakers. According to the missing boy’s mother, Cheryl Unser, no family or friends have heard or seen him in more than 24 hours. State Police Senior Inv. Gary Mazzacano said the boy apparently had a fight with his parents and left home. The other missing man who returned home Monday, 31-year-old Kenneth French, had been staying with friends in Albany but didn’t tell anyone where he was going before he left.

A Ghent woman, Gwendolyn Fuks, 51, remains missing as well. Fuks is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She may be driving a 1998, white, four-door Toyota Camry. She was last seen in the Albany area Dec. 30.

According to Mazzacano, Fuks sent a letter to someone that “caused concern. We’re looking to check on her welfare.”
