Interview with Medea Benjamin, co-founder of CODEPINK and the international human rights organization Global Exchange. Benjamin is making several appearances in Columbia and Greene counties this week. Kristi Dana Funk, Producing Artistic Director of The Proprietors Theatre Company, will be in the studio to discuss the production of "This," at the Henry Hudson Studios in Hudson, plus a piece produced by Melinda Braathen about about Camp Sundown, a year-round night camp in Craryville, in addition to news, weather and events. Benjamin has been described as "one of America’s most committed -- and most effective -- fighters for human rights" by New York Newsday, and called "one of the high profile leaders of the peace movement" by the Los Angeles Times. We'll hear a radio piece produced by Melinda Braathen about Camp Sundown, a year-round "night camp" in Craryville, NY dedicated to children all around the world effected by life-threatening sun-sensitivity disorders, most notably XP, xeroderma pigmentosum, a rare genetic disease. And we'll hear from Kristi Dana Funk, Producing Artistic Director of the Proprietor's Theatre Company, and hear about this weekend's upcoming play, "This," at the Henry Hudson Studios in Hudson.
