This month's "Mambo Italiano" will be less mambo and more italiano. What that means is we'll be talking more than usual. What about? The thing most Italians talk about: food. That's right, we'll be looking at some of the counties' Italian-American fare, and also focus on the great debate: Where's the best pizza? Intrepid reporter Jess Puglisi offers some insight with a segment she produced: "Pizza and politics in New Haven, CT." A new contributor to the show, a certified Italian-born American, will chime in on foodways in the old country, and her thoughts about our new world variations. And, we'll feature the second in our exclusive recorded poetry series, with work from Susan Bucci Mockler. But don't worry, music will be heard, along with a special segment in tribute to the late Mary Mazzacano. So tune for this radio festa.
