Brittany Horn is reporting in the Times Union exactly one week after thousands of charter school students closed downtown Albany streets, an estimated 2,000 parents, students and teachers marched down State St. to the state Capitol, in support of traditional public schools. Alliance Executive Director Billy Easton said the event Wednesday served as a field trip for students and an opportunity to learn about participatory democracy. Read the full story in the Times Union.
