Wave Farm's WGXC Programming Manager and Volunteer Coordinator, Meredith Kooi (b. 1985, Chicago, IL) is an experimental artist, scholar, arts administrator, and educator. She has shown and performed her work widely throughout Atlanta where she spent the last 11 years, and has held artist residencies across the United States including at Elsewhere, Wave Farm, PlySpace, and Hambidge, among others. She founded the curatorial project ALTERED MEANS in Atlanta where she also served as Director of Development at DIY space The Bakery Atlanta, and was Editor and Assistant Director of Radius (Chicago) from 2011-2016. As an educator, Meredith has taught a diversity of students including undergraduates, youths, and incarcerated adults in the classroom and as a workshop facilitator. She received her PhD from the Graduate Institute of the Liberal Arts at Emory University, her MA in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her BA in Environmental Studies from Denison University.
