Previous Wave Farm artists-in-residence Jeff Kolar (Chicago, IL) and C. Lavender (Catskill, NY) discuss the infamous sonic pervasiveness of Muzak/background music. They'll discuss its history, play some examples and explore Kolar's upcoming project involving use of Muzak. Kolar & Lavender may even create some Muzak-inspired tunes live for listeners from the Wave Farm Study Center and WGXC Acra Studio.
