He had worked with numerous acclaimed artists as arranger, music director, writer and co-writer, record producer and professor of music. He first made a name for himself with the album The Jean-Luc Ponty Experience with the George Duke Trio. He was known primarily for thirty-odd solo albums as well as for his collaborations with other musicians, particularly Frank Zappa."

2 p.m. – 3 p.m.: "Issue Project Room Radio: Arnold Dreyblatt"
Arnold Dreyblatt, "Nodal Excitation" recorded live at Issue Project Room Sept. 2012. Arnold Dreyblatt’s notes on this solo work for his amplified "excited strings" acoustic bass: In the spring of 1979, I was approached to perform at a downtown performance festival in New York. I had been developing a repertoire of isolated percussive and bowed attacks, and these evolved into a continuous rhythmic technique in which I could excite chords of overtones above the fundamental. The performance considers the location and influence of the acoustic Nodal Regions as identified on #12 and #11 unwound music wire stretched on an acoustic double bass body (40.5" speaking length). The integrity of a fundamental vibration is maintained for both strings at all times; all movement of pitch occurs in the overtone structure. A shorter speaking length is never created through "stopping" or "fretting" techniques. Rather, harmonic, partial vibrations are calculated, coaxed, and are occasionally isolated at the nodes of the string.

4 p.m. – 6 p.m.: "Saturday Afternoon Show: Cammisa Buerhaus"
Tune in to hear Wave Farm Artist-in-residence Cammisa Buerhaus speak with Wave Farm's Tom Roe about her work, her residency project, and special playlist of influential works.

6 p.m. – 7 p.m.: "Symposium: Foreign Office"
It begins: "I tried to speak from the Havana of the mind and found myself an impossible refugee in the anachronistic wastelands of Passaic New Jersey, a place in a book where I have not been physically either. But that is precisely the matter because despite all of one's efforts it seems that one always writes this from where one is not, a place in the almost more than maybe, at a distance a glass thick from the here and definitely one duration in anticipation of the now. For convenience, let's pretend this is proper English. And yet, later on I might need to say what time it is in our program. By the way, did I forget to say good evening, dear listeners?"

8 p.m. – 11 p.m.: "Saturday Night Special: Manuel Cirauqui"
