This Harvest Pledge Drive special broadcast was recorded on Oct. 8, 2017. Following the Hudson Valley Dance Festival, The Friends of Beattie-Powers hosted a panel discussion featuring dance luminaries Stephen Petronio, Phyllis Lamhut, and Nancey Rosensweig, as well as Sarah Cardillo (Development Officer, Dancers Responding to AIDS), and Pam Weisberg (Director of Performing Arts, Catskill Mountain Foundation). The panel examined the growth of dance related opportunities in the area, panelists shared individual perspectives on their hopes and plans for the future and fielded questions from the audience. The symposium was facilitated by Todd Whitley – Friends of Beattie-Powers Board member, former dancer and currently a digital strategist and instructor at Columbia University.
