Homo Ludens, A Radio Ballet Not Without Autobiographical Elements
1984, 32:30 min.
Eugeniusz Rudnik was a core member of the Polish Radio Experimental Studio ever since it began in 1957; he was a prolific creator of tape compositions, a genre he called radio documentary ballads, and this radio ballet. The Polish Radio Experimental Studio (known by its initials PRES) was based in Warsaw and was a lab for artistic experimentation. Like the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, its main purpose was to sound design for all sorts of radio programs and was also tapped for collaborations with other media like film and animation. PRES closed in 2004. - Described by Wave Farm Radio Artist Fellow 2019/2020, Karen Werner.
