Donald Drumpf Theatre: Vol. 33 I Beg Your Pardon. This week, the pardoning begins. Tune in for songs and skits from Lynn Anderson ("I Never Promised You a Rose Garden"), Sonic Youth ("Youth Against Fascism"), Pink Floyd ("Another Brick in the Wall"), The Parody Project ("Confounds the Science"), The Wailers ("I Shot the Sheriff"), Neil Young ("Like a Hurricane"), Lin Manuel-Miranda ("Hurricane"), Bob Dylan ("Hurricane"), R.E.M. ("It's the End of the World As We Know It"), and Golden Earring ("Twilight Zone"). Also, listen for excerpts and clips from Sarah Huckabee Sanders; Alec Baldwin on "Weekend Update;" Anthony Atamanuik, DeRay McKesson, Peter Grosz, and John Gemberling on "The President Show;" Michael Beschloss; Nicolle Wallace; Anakin Skywalker, Darth Sidious, Obi Wan Kenobi from "Star Wars;" Lawrence O'Donnell, "The Wizard of Oz;" Aegon Targaryen from "Game of Thrones;" Don Lemon; Chris Hayes; Sebastian Gorka; Peter Alexander; Joe Scarborough; Joe Arpaio; Chuck Todd; Trevor Noah of "The Daily Show;" Kristen Welker; Sean Hannity; and Ari Melber. An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently, the network has ordered another 15 episodes, but there are threats of cancellation. Anyone who would like to contribute to the show, should contact info@wgxc.org.
