Greene County recognizes employee performance

Kyle Adams reports in The Daily Mail principal account clerk Debra Gallo has been named Greene County Employee of the Year for her "“efficient, knowledgeable and professional” performance. Gallo's work in guiding the treasurer’s office through an extensive software overhaul was specifically noted by Greene County Legislature Chairman Wayne Speenburgh. Gallo has worked for the county since 2010. The Chairman’s Award was given to maintenance person Peter Lasher for his “outstanding work ethic and exemplary service” in the buildings and grounds department for more than 30 years. “He continually goes above and beyond what is requested and expected, is always ready to jump in and help, and never refuses to stay late or come in early when necessary,” said Speenburgh.
