Central Hudson subpoenaed by Moreland Commission

William Kemble reports in the Daily Freeman Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. is one of at least three utilities subpoenaed by the newly established Moreland Commission in its investigation of readiness for Superstorm Sandy and responses to the power outages caused by the storm. A Central Hudson spokesman said Thurs., Nov. 29, the company has been given until Dec. 5 to provide documents to the commission. The other utilities to receive subpoenas included Consolidated Edison and the Long Island Power Authority. According to Central Hudson, one-half of its customers affected during Sandy had power restored in one day, and power was restored to 90 percent of customers in three days.
