Adam Clayton is reporting in the Register Star Columbia County Board of Supervisors Chairman Pat Grattan explained Mon., Aug. 25, the logic behind his decision to have the Airport Subcommittee report to the Public Works Committee. The Kinderhook Republican has been under fire from various members of the public since announcing the decision earlier this month. The Public Works Committee is chaired by Supervisor Mike Benson. He said, “As long as I am chairman of the Board of Supervisors, there will be an Airport Subcommittee.” Grattan and subcommittee chair Art Bassin agreed some members should be shared between the two groups. Supervisors Sarah Sterling and Ron Knott will now be crossover members of the Airport Subcommittee, while Supervisor Mike Benvenuto will join Public Works. Read the full story in the Register Star.
