WRGB-TV is reporting the 46th state Senate District race remains undecided. Two newcomers are competing to fill the vacancy left due to the retirement of George Amedore. With more than 130,000 early and in-person ballots counted on Election Day, Republican Richard Amedure of Rensselaerville was maintaining a 6.26-point lead over Democrat Michelle Hinchey. The absentee ballots are now being counted and the first ballots are coming out of Republican strongholds. Hinchey's campaign manager said November 16, "Our count started with the three most Republican counties and so far, Michelle is winning over 63 percent of absentees and we believe that number will continue to grow." Counting begins Wed., Nov. 18, in the heavily Democratic counties of Albany and Ulster. Read more at cbs6albany [dot] com.
