Texas-raised Mexican-American Alejandro Escovedo is the uncle of Sheila E. with The Minus 5 opening. Escovedo will be backed by The Burn Something Beautiful Band, with Peter Buck of R.E.M., Scott McCaughey of The Young Fresh Fellows, Kurt Block of The Fastbacks, and Linda Pitmon of the Baseball Project. That band is also The Minus 5.
