“Q and A: The Art of the Interview” will bring together a photojournalist, a doctor, a police officer, and an oral historian to explore how social and professional conventions determine the shape and content of our conversations and to discuss the differences between a successful interview between a doctor and patient, a police officer and a suspect, and a journalist and a source. Writer Suzanne Snider, founder and director of Oral History Summer School, will serve as moderator for the program that will also feature photographer Jennifer Karady, Dr. Illya Szilak, and Lt. Gary R. Wallace. The event is free and open to the public. Presented in cooperation with the Corporation of Yaddo and Oral History Summer School. Hudson River Bank and Trust Co. Foundation funded a residency at Yaddo, the artists colony located in Saratoga Springs, New York.
