A public hearing will be held by the Columbia County Board of Supervisors to consider seven requests for inclusion of property of predominantly viable agricultural land within a state certified agricultural district filed with the Columbia County Board of Supervisors. The following parcels listed by owner name and tax map number are proposed additions to Agricultural Districts 3, 4, 7, 8, and 10. The requests include, one (1) parcel owned by Jack and Louise S. Newsom (Claverack 121.-1-73) in Agricultural District 3; one (1) parcel owned by Charlene S. Paden (Taghkanic 152.-1-22.2) in Agricultural District 4; one (1) parcel owned by Hudson Seafood Property LLC (Greenport 119.-1-10.110) in Agricultural District 7; one (1) parcel owned by 13985 Grand Valley Parkway LLC (Greenport 119.-1-10.120) in Agricultural District 7; one (1) parcel owned by Sustainable Seafood of Hudson LLC (Greenport 119.-1-10.21) in Agricultural District 7; one (1) parcel owned by Benjamin and Veronica Madey (Ghent 85.-1-35) in Agricultural District 8; and one (1) parcel owned by John C. Rowland (Chatham 15-1-40) in Agricultural District 10. The hearing on said applications will be held in the first floor Committee Room of the Columbia County Office Building, 401 State Street, Hudson, New York. Said hearing will be held to consider the requests and the recommendations of the Columbia County Agriculture and Farmland Protection Board. All parties in interest and citizens will be heard.
