Miguel Tinker Salas discusses Sunday's presidential elections in Venezuela in which Hugo Chávez’s former foreign minister and vice president, Nicolás Maduro, won to replace Chavéz, who died of cancer last month. Tinker Salas is a professor at Pomona College, and the author of "The Enduring Legacy: Oil, Culture, and Society in Venezuela" and the forthcoming "Venezuela: What Everyone Needs to Know."
