RADIO ART ARCHIVE
Austrian composer, musician, sound and radio artist Rupert Huber has created works for popular release, as with his electronica duo Tosca, installation, data sonification, film and television soundtracks, commissioned works, and radio. Throughout his work, Huber explores the idea of spatiality in music, sound and listening, including the variability of listening space, especially in radio pieces where the experience of the audience is unpredictable and unique to each listener. His scores likewise tend to three dimensions, expressing the sound in forms such as painting and sculpture, and includes works generated from data or other works, like comics. Huber's works have been commissioned by Centre Pompidou, Wiener Festwochen, and Ars Electronica. He lives in Vienna and Berlin.
