New York restores Special Olympic funding

The Albany Times Union reports that this week the administration of President Donald Trump reversed course and restored funding the Special Olympics, and so did New York state. "Officials inadvertently cut $50,000" of funds out of the $1.1 million a year in state support, but Gov. Andrew Cuomo's administration reallocated money from other programs to restore the full Special Olympics funding. The Special Olympics provide children and adults with intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities their own competitions. Read the full story at the Albany Times Union website.
