Vanyo steps down as ICC superintendent

Steve Hughes is reporting for the Times Union Ichabod Crane schools Superintendent Michael Vanyo has agreed to step down from his position, effective at the close of the current school year, on June 30. Sanyo, 51, was charged in April with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage auto accident in Saratoga County. He has been on a leave of absence since his arrest. The district's Board of Education announced May 22, Vanyo, 51, will work remotely for the remainder of the year to help the district transition to a new leader. Assistant Superintendent Suzanne Guntlow has been serving as Acting Superintendent since April 9, and she will continue in that role, the board said. Read the full story in the Times Union.
