Edward Knight sworn in as Chatham BoE member

Katie Kocijanski is reporting in the Chatham Courier the Chatham school board officially welcomed its newest member this week. Edward Knight was sworn in before a regular meeting of the full board, Tues., Feb. 11. Knight was appointed to fill the seat vacated by David O'Connor. He will serve until the annual school board election, May 20. In other school board news, Superintendent Cheryl Nuciforo updated the board on the district's ongoing efforts to incorporate the Common Core Learning Standards and the Annual Professional Performance Review. Business Administrator Mike Chudy made a presentation on select sections of the proposed 2014-15 district budget. Chudy projected an increase to the administrative portion of just under .2 percent. He reported a savings of more than $20,391 in central data processing costs this year. Read the full story in the Chatham Courier.
