Westerlo approves one solar array; considers three others

Jan 06, 2018 12:13 am
Audrey Matott reports in The Greenville Pioneer that the Town of Westerlo Planning Board approved two large commercial solar arrays at its Dec. 20 meeting, both on the former Shepard Farms resort on State Route 32. The seven-megawatt will be hidden from neighbors. Now Westerlo is considering three other potential solar farms. Cypress Creek Renewables wants to put Costanza Solar at 198 Sunset Hills Road; and the Clean Energy Collective wants to put a two-megawatt solar array at 626 County Route 351 and a three-megawatt solar array at State Route 32 and County Route 405. Public hearings for those solar proposals will be held at 7 p.m. January 23 at Westerlo Town Hall. Read the full story in The Greenville Pioneer.
