Wes Nisker

Hailed as the "Monty Python of Radio" by the San Francisco Bay Guardian, Wes ("Scoop") Nsiker (San Francisco, CA) is a twenty-seven year veteran of the broadcast media. It was in the late sixties as news director of rock station KSAN-FM, San Francisco, that he first established his reputation as one of the deans of "new journalism." Since that time he has produced documentaries for National Public Radio, worked as a morning talk show host for KPFA-FM in Berkeley, and as news director and special features producer at KFOG-FM. His honors include a 1976 Armstrong Award for excellence in FM programming, and the 1986 Bay Area Media Alliance Meritorious Achievement Award.
