Workshops with Ruth Leonard, artist and teacher, welcome all levels of art experience from pre-teen to adult. Leonard guides participants to find their own vision in drawing and painting, using abstraction, still life, the figure and landscape as imagery. Compositional drawings prior to painting will be encouraged. A variety of painting techniques and color choices will be discussed and explored. Individual interests and needs will be taken into consideration in designing a course of study. She has had one-person exhibits at Nicole Fiacco Gallery in Hudson, NY and Grace Borgenicht in New York City. She is currently the Director of the Greene County Council on the Arts Sprouts Program.
