Delhi residents sound off on drilling

Jan 09, 2012 2:30 pm
A coalition of anti-fracking groups held a "people's hearing" on Saturday at SUNY Delhi. The meeting was held so that Catskill residents could have their public comments about hydraulic fracturing officially transcribed and recorded. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation didn't organize an official public comment meeting in Delaware, Schoharie, Greene, Ulster, or Otsego, and many other counties when it held public forums on natural gas drilling in November. Delaware County videographer Jessica Vecchione attended Saturday's meeting and posted a 15-minute video of its highlights. Click here to see the video.
