Byrne wins 106th AD Independence primary

The Daily Freeman is reporting Republican state Assembly candidate David Byrne has won the Independence Party primary election over incumbent Assembly member Didi Barrett in the new 106th Assembly District. The unofficial results indicated Byrne won by 17 votes. Byrne, of Milan, ran as a write-in candidate against Democrat Barrett of Millbrook, who received the Independence Party endorsement.
